Most tile problems are a symptom. A cracked floor tile usually means movement in the subfloor. Grout that keeps failing in a shower corner usually means the waterproofing behind it is gone. We do our best to provide a diagnosis. Sometimes the honest answer is a $300 repair, and sometimes it is a rebuild.
Regrouting is worth doing when the tile is sound and the grout is stained or cracked. We cut out the old grout, clean the joints, and regrout, usually in a day. For showers we replace the corner grout with color-matched silicone so it can move without cracking.
If you have leftover tile from the original job, hold on to it. If you do not, we try to source a match, and if there is no match we tell you before we start.
